Remembering Kobe Bryant

Neymar after his second goal for PSG took a moment and flashed the number 24 and looked skywards as a dedication to this sporting legend.

People across disciplines just loved Kobe Bean Bryant for his game. As I am writing this sure there would be numerous temporary memorials springing across the staple centre in L.A and many other places .So heart wrenching  to see people tearfully leaving behind their sneakers , basketballs etc in memory of their favourite star around the centre. There is a sea of gold and purple all around with distraught fans refusing to believe he is no more. Such an illustrious career spanning two decades right from the time he was transferred from Charlotte Hornet to Los Angeles Lakers. He was the winner of numerous MVP awards and still could recollect his all time high score of 81 in a single game against Toronto Raptors in 2006. This was indeed the second highest in the games history after Wilt Chamberlain had scored 101 in 1962.His awards accomplishments and achievements would require another detailed writing. The other basketball giants like Shaquille O Neal, Lebron James and Michael Jordan coming out with such glowing tributes speaks immensely about the person that he was on and off the field. He even got an Oscar for the animated film “Dear Basketball” and the 2020 Grammy began with Alicia keys and others offering their tributes to him..Heart goes out to his daughter Giana Bryant who was on her way to play in the WNBA. Definitely the not so rich fans across the globe would have saved few thousand dollars to watch at least one of his games live in their life time. King Kobe would continue to live in the hearts of millions of such fans. Adieu to one of the greatest players of all time. Wonder why they need to be snatched so early . The irony of life sometimes can’t be more intriguing.
